The ending is absolutely perfect for them. Rose and Chance accept the incursion better than most would, including me. Either way, this is another wonderful addition to the series! Prior reading may not be required, but having Heart Falls knowledge is something I recommend. I listened to the audio book. (Book review) >Lost in Emotion< Lady Amanda "Mandy" Ainsworth and Justin Cullinan do have an interesting dynamic. She's trying to find herself after extracting herself from a bad marriage. He's just trying to get her attention. There are cute, harrowing, hilarious, spooky, and steamy times that did keep me and the story moving forward. On the whole, it was an entertaining quick listen.   I'll admit, I spent a decent amount of the book lost. Even though this is supposed to be a standalone book, it didn't feel like it. It also isn't a continuation of either of the prior books in the series. As a result, I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected. Perhaps I'll circle back, find the missing book(s), and try again. For now, this is where I stand. On a much happier note, I am definitely looking forward to the next book. The introduction to the characters was riotous in more ways than one. LOL! (Book review) Best Laid Plans Crashed This was my favorite from the series. Cooper Borealis is completely ridiculous, but I love how Amber Myawayan smashes down his walls to get what she wants, when she wants, not on Cooper's schedule. -- Book quote 'Now was the time for patience and logic and, above all else, to avoid being caught alone with the delectable Amber Myawayan. -- Cooper Borealis I love all the family and friends shenanigans. (Book review) The Wooing Bear Alex Borealis and Lara Lazuli are "mysteriously" thrown together (in my opinion, there really isn't any mystery to it) with interesting consequences. The way the prior book ended was a fantastic introduction to these two together. I love the challenge. It is freaking hilarious. -- Book quote 'Lara slammed her lips together, mostly to stop from drooling. Alex Borealis smiling did something dangerous to her hormones.' -- Lara Lazuli The potential issues within her pack turn out to be good for a couple reasons. The biggest is pushing her and Alex together. The other you'll have to read to find out. All in all, an entertaining book with plenty of steam and laughs. I loved each one. I was amused by the lot of them. 🩷😁 Walker and Ivy (Fields) Stone get a bonus story, with an interlude for Ginny Stone and Tucker Stewart. It had me teary-eyed as they welcomed Carter, Chloe, and Harper to the Stone family. (Book review, 1/2) Happiness in Small Packages I'm glad I got to enjoy these. They are essentially bonus epilogues for three couples and a short story for a fourth. All are wonderful additions to these Heart Falls love stories. 🥰💚👏🎉 Each comes with a surprise from at least one side of the couple. You'll have to see for yourself, but I should note that prior reading is highly recommended. I'll break it down a little by couple: Tamara Coleman, along with Caleb, Emma, and Sasha Stone, start us off with their tearful union. It's sweet, tender, and perfect for them. 😢🤧🩵 Ivy Fields gets the kind of wedding that suits her with a man who thinks she hung the stars. Oh heck, I think she feels the same about Walker Stone. 😘 <blockquote><i><b>She closed her eyes as her lips curled into a smile. Life lately had been richly wonderful because Walker was— Well, honestly, he was her heart.</b></i> -- Ivy Fields </blockquote> Of course, there are goat shenanigans and all. 😂

(Book review, 2/2) This brings us to Kelli James and Luke Stone. Their only plan is no plan. Hehehe.... And the witnesses to all of it take the cake. 😍 Very apropos. Last but not least, we have Lisa Coleman and her tenderhearted veterinarian, Josiah Ryder. This is the short story. There are a couple of surprises in here, the most obvious of which is Sunshine (not the actual name), but the emu might be the best. This essentially goes from conception (*brows wiggle*) to birth, with a lot of cameos and crossovers, which I ALWAYS love. I love the early warning system they found themselves with. It provides plenty of chuckles. I also love the passion and understanding these two have. It's a great addition to the collection. I read along as I listened to the audio book. The narrator is Tatiana Sokolov. She's a really good narrator. It's hard to find new things to say when you've listened to and reviewed dozens of the books she's narrated, so I'm gonna recommend you give her a try. (Book review) The Worst Kept Secret OK, here is a quick list of some things I love about this book: - From the moment they meet, Sonora Fallen is giving Ashton Stewart a hard time, keeping him on his toes, and it's hilarious! - Their story spans nearly two decades, going back to before Caleb Stone was responsible for overseeing Silver Stone ranch. For those keeping score, that's before book one of the Stones of Heart Falls series. (Prior reading isn't required, but you may appreciate this more if you have better context.) - Even in their 60s, they're sneaking around like teenagers! 😊💚🔥 There's more, but at some point my review could end up longer than the book. So instead of that, I say, go read this! 😉 There's loss, a pesky 'ghost' (this is a play off of 'A Christmas Carol' after all), some bossiness, disheveled clothes, secret interludes, and touches into all of the Heart Falls stories so far. The sadness that stands along some of the joy makes this feel so realistic. It's funny, cute, and steamy, and they're occasionally exasperating yet refreshing. (Book review) Expectations and Goals Initially, Alex Thorne acted much like an elementary kid teasing the person he secretly likes, annoying Yvette Wright with frequency. I like how he realized his true feelings before he had to leave town for a stretch. Even more, I love what he does to win her over when he returns. His honesty, letting her know from Day 1 what his end goal is and making sure she knows that the pace of their relationship is set by her, made him that much more endearing. The one-of-a-kind advent calendar was awesome. I love the thought put into it and the list he crafted to keep him on track. From crazy / ugly Christmas sweaters to crotchety friends to family drama to found families and solid friendships, this is a wonderful book. The love and support of those around them is sweet and amazing. I mean, it's just another reason to fall in love with Heart Falls and its citizens. I received an author's copy of the audio book.
