Cross Industry Diversity: WARF at 100 WARF at 100: Connecting university innovation with industry imagination Every day, something important is happening in every corner of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Thousands of students and faculty in dozens of academic disciplines are innovating in ways that positively shape our world. It’s happening in health care. In multiple engineering sectors. In pharmaceuticals. In agriculture. In computer science. The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation’s unique programs, like WARF Accelerator, WARF Therapeutics and WARF Ventures are supporting the research innovations of more than 12,000 researchers on a campus that is one of the five most influential universities in the nation, with many departments ranking within the top 10 of their peers nationally. #WARF100

Getting to Market: WARF at 100 WARF at 100: Connecting university innovation with industry imagination It can take years…a decade or more, even…for an idea to get to market. If not properly nurtured, the time between discovery and real-world application can delay a solution to a vital problem and create a competitive disadvantage for those industries that want to deploy that solution. At the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, “preparing to go to market” is the goal of the WARF Accelerator program, and speed to market is the value we bring. That involves: - helping translate science into solutions for global impact; - connecting project teams to industry partners, entrepreneurs or investors; - and the creation of new startups. #WARF100
