Finally, a larger shift towards other parties, such The Greens and Legalise Cannabis Party (don't get me started). Not enough to take over but, still a dent in the empire. All in all, nothing will really change other than some smaller voices altered in state partiliament. #waelection

I always hear classic stories about Basil snorting coke in Connections and other clubs previously in the city (lol). He made slurs about trans people on national radio two weeks after being elected as Mayor. And recently, he illegally used his Mayorship platform to promote his election. #waelection

Basil Zempilas has confirmed to overtaken Labor member Christine Tonkin (who I really like!). Churchlands is traditionally a Liberal stronghold, so while it's not surprising to see her lose this seat, it's sad to see it is to Basil, Lord Mayor of Perth, known for dogey antics. #waelection

Kate Hulett as an Independent in Fremantle is just overtaking, and will hopefully secure a seat. Kate is a small business owner, artist, photographer, and community member, who would be a great representation in state parliament. Nice to see a huge swing in a positive direction! #waelection

Tom Brough overtook a previous Labor seat, even after his controversial views against queer people (linking the community paedophiles) and removing women's rights, reffering him to the State Tribunal for misconduct. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-03... #waelection
