벡스코, 부산 위상 높일 대형 문화행사 연속 유치 #벡스코 #국제행사 #부산벡스코 #세계유산총회 #WLIC #FISM #부산문화도시 #국제문화행사 #문화허브 #부산국제회의 부산 해운대구에 위치한 전시컨벤션센터 벡스코가 2026년부터 2028년까지 대형 국제문화행사를 잇따라 유치하며 세계적인 문화 허브로 도약하고 있다. 2026년 6월에는 유네스코가 주최하는 세계 최대 규모의 문화유산 관련 회의인 세계유산위원회(WHC) 총회가 한국에서 처음으로 부산에서 열린다. 사진 출처 = 벡스코 제공 해당 총회는 약 180개국에서 3000여 명의 정부 관계자와 전문가, NGO 대표가 참석할 예정으로, 세계유산 신규 등재와 보존 정책 논의가 이뤄질 전망이다. 같은 해 8월에는 20년 만에 다시 한국에서 열리는 제90회 세계도서관정보대회(WLIC)가 벡스코에서 개최된다. 이 대회는 국제도서관연맹(IFLA)이 주최하는 세계 최대 규모의 도서관·정보 분야 컨퍼런스로, 150여 개국에서 4000여 명의 전문가가 부산을 찾는다. 2028년 7월에는 ‘마술계의 올림픽’으로 불리는 세계마술챔피언십(FISM)이 개최된다. 이 행사는 50여 개국에서 3000명 이상이 참가하는 경연과 공연, 워크숍으로 구성되며, 세계 정상급 마술사들이 벡스코 무대에 오른다. 벡스코는 기존 전시 및 학술 행사 중심의 이미지를 넘어서, 국제문화행사 유치를 통해 경쟁력을 입증하고 있다. 손수득 벡스코 대표이사는 “벡스코는 이번 행사를 통해 세계 문화 허브로 성장할 것”이라며, 부산시 및 관광공사와 협력해 부산을 세계적인 문화도시로 만들겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.
