The entire introduction to Vixen is erotic and amazing. Add in the adventures that Bex and Aspen experience, and I never want to leave this club. NEVER! -- Book quote 'Even if I don’t end up participating in anything, this is still the craziest night I’ve ever had.' -- Aspen Ryder There is a point where I don't like anyone in the book. Her brother is a complete hypocrite, and that doesn't sit well with me. The childish behavior aside, I am unable to stop listening until the final word. It's erotic and steamy AF. It's angsty. It's realistic in most regards. I look forward to more from this author! I borrowed the audio book. The narrators, Walker Williams and Heather Firth, are easy to listen to and do a good job. I've listened to both before, and I'll do it again. Story: 4.5 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 28; h = 22

Camden Dalton was, too. 😉 Hehehe. I really do like the premise. Even more, I love the filthy lessons they embark on. I think lesson two is my favorite. -- Book quote 'I was a man who focused on orgasms, not commitments.' -- Camden Dalton There are the usual rules about it being impersonal, et cetera, et cetera. Of course, this means there are zero doubts about someone catching feelings. I mean, this only works if that happens. 😄 I do wish this wasn't so predictable. Still, the journey is exciting and fun, and I love the cameos with updates on past couples. I borrowed the audio book. Even with a betrothal that he despises looming in the near future, I like how he gives himself permission to enjoy what little time he's able to take with her. As mentioned, Peyton's got some baggage. It's a sad but common set of circumstances. My heart goes out to anyone in that scenario. Of course, Dominick is sporting his own trauma and can relate to Peyton on a deeper level. -- Book quote 'As much as we’d prefer to have our own places, in order to keep Mom safe from our asshole father, we still live at home, knowing he won’t touch her while we’re here now that we’re capable of knocking him on his ass if he lays a finger on her.' -- Dominick Antonov Dominick is far from a saint, but I love that his protectiveness, especially for abused and exploited women, is deeply rooted. Maybe he takes it a touch too far on occasion, but he's well intentioned... mostly. I do love that Peyton does set some boundaries and gets him to bend. It's infrequent, but it does happen. 😁 As this is Mafia / Bratva related, violence and other dark elements are expected. We also get discussions about off-screen actions which include domestic violence, grape, and forced loss of pregnancy. One more notable item: this ends with a cliffhanger. The couple kind of gets an HEA, but we have to stay tuned for other elements to play out. I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Walker Williams and Marina Barrett, are good.
