Like many #Nazi #WarCriminals who escaped Europe via the #VaticanRatlines after WWII, #WalterRauff never faced justice for his crimes. He traveled to Syria in 1948, then Lebanon, and Ecuador in Dec of 1949, then Chile in 1958. #WalterRauff died of a heart attack in Santiago, Chile in 1984.
