Michael Prysner Sep 5, 2016 • © I've been walking around the "dangerous" West Bank for over a week, looking kinda like an Israeli. Palestinians have been openly nice and warm, many coming up to say "hi", offering drinks and wanting to take selfies with us. But last night, I went to the bustling, touristy Israeli section of Jerusalem. The very first Israelis we saw yelled "are you Arabs?" and started harassing us. We spent the next 3 hours pretending to be pro-Israel journalists. Literally every single Israeli-young and old, secular and religious, US- and Israeli-born/raised-openly and proudly talked in *genocidal* terms. The most common phrase, by far, was "Kill all Arabs." Those who talked of just arresting and expelling *all* Palestinians as a solution, instead of saying "kill them all", were mocked by their friends and called "leftists." It was the most vitriolic, cultish racism I've ever witnessed. This place is way worse than I ever irnagined.
