The Lion Tower at #warkworthcastle - a 1480s statement entrance to a grand hall within the bailey of the castle in addition to the spaces within the keep. Seat of the famously historic Percy family. The Tower incs key heraldry from the Percy’s, the Yorkists, Lucy’s & Herbert’s.

Yesterday we attended a medieval tourney at #WarkworthCastle @englishheritage.bsky.social ⚔️🏰. We watched several bouts using different weapons, met re-enactors and minstrels, and then Annie had a nap.
Apparently she would have been a prized hound because she was a solid colour.
