#WatchWednesday and let's do a microbrand this time. I came across Omologato last year ahead of the Silverstone festival where they made this watch to celebrate it. I fell in love with it and the brand. I would highly recommend checking them out. They make some cool stuff.

#WatchWednesday saw one of these in white/silver in a spares/repairs joblot on ebay and really desired one. Been checking listings on there ever since for one and won this last week. Still looking for the white/silver version for a sensible price too
My Armitron Tetra watch. All metal, which makes it quite heavy. Flashes the time and date with the push of a button. Plain and simple.

Mr Jones Watches M1 laid out on its box. It features a nylon strap made from the same material as seatbelts.

The watch face is designed to look like a motorway sign in the UK. The hands are designed like the arrows on the signs. There is also a white boarder.
The minute hand stands quite high but gives a shadow that adds depth to the look. There is also an MJW logo on the side opposite to the crown.
Another #WatchWednesday and this time I wanted to show off a microbrand called Mr Jones Watches.
They have some really quirky designs but this one caught my eye. It's called M1 and designed by Margaret Calvert. One of two people responsible for designing all UK roadsigns and the Transport typeface.

Decided to start doing a #WatchWednesday where I show off a watch I think is cool.
The Casio A168 was launched in 1995 and is notable for it's electroluminescent back light which. However Casio are discontinuing this technology in their watches. For now, you can still buy these new for around £30.

I had no plans to buy a pocket watch on Sunday but I had to buy this particular one.
The case was made here in Coventry, and the movement was made in a small town called Brigg, 8 miles from where I grew up so it has personal relevance. Has a verge escapement and a fusee.

Not that into dive watches but needed one of these iconic Seikos. It's a 7548 700B made in Nov 1983. To prevent the battery running out during a dive the battery is replaced and a dot marked on the back to show when the next replacement is due (next change marked on mine is Nov '86)
In 2020 I got put on furlough from work and my sleeping pattern disintegrated. Also the lockdown meant I couldn't go looking for watches irl. I ended up joining a watch collectors group on Facebook and bought this off a guy in Singapore at 3am. My unhinged lockdown purchase.

When I was 15 I first began properly collecting watches. My history teacher had an Accurist chronograph which I absolutely loved the look of. Then in 2015 I found the same model in a Cash Converters in Glasgow. My taste in watches has moved away from this but still enjoy wearing it.
