The top portion of a birdbath is shown. It is heavy-duty concrete with hummingbirds and flowers carved into its sides. The birdbath is three-quarters full of water with a little ceramic half-dome contraption on metal legs perched above the water. This device is creating ripples on the water’s surface. There are several dozen honeybees clinging to the inner rim of the birdbath, drinking their fill of water. The background is out-of-focus greenery and rocks. It is a bright and sunny day with brilliant reflections off the water. I’m not going to write anything funny, because I just love this picture too much.
I have neighbors that keep bees; however, their bees seem to prefer MY yard for their water. I feel very privileged.
