6/10 for #cDrama #WeAllLie - 1 point for each of the first 6, really good, episodes. An argument could b made for giving it more for the sheer novelty value of its massive implosion. It's as if Leonardo sketched Mona Lisa, started the painting, then got his drunk pet baboon to finish it
Eps 1-6 of #cDrama #WeAllLie were whip smart, tight, and a very enjoyable infidelity-revenge Drama. Ep 12 sees the introduction of a CGI snake thrown through a window.
Text, as follows: I got hooked, and really enjoyed the first 6 episodes. The story was strong, and the acting was superb. Then, the crazy plots kind of took over, and what could have been a really good, gripping drama became a more “run of the mill melodrama” with mischievous people and one plot after the other.
Into ep 11/16 in #cDrama #WeAllLie and the collapse in quality sent me to check reviews at MDL, where I found one that So exactly mirrors my experience I could have written it myself. I was LITERALLY thinking of posting to recommend watching the first 6 eps. Time to FF to see how it ends
In #cDrama #WeAllLie the FL's sidekick REALLY reminds me of a younger Ko Chia Yen and I'm also liking her performance. MDL says she's VERY busy, but 90% of her roles are #VerticalDrama so I'll be giving them a pass.
Into episode 8/16 in #cDrama #WeAllLie and still loving it, but the FL is pregnant and planning to get an abortion and the sledgehammer/megaphone unsubtlety of the "don't do it" message reminds me of yesterday's discussion about censorship in Chinese media
I was enjoying ep4 of #cDrama #WeAllLie for its plugging Edgar Allan Poe and Josephine Tey, then it only went and sampled my 2nd favourite Faye Wong song as BGM in a PERFECT fit for that scene. 😍

Into ep 4 of #cDrama #WeAllLie and really enjoying it. Even the opening song has caught my attention sufficiently that I don't FF through it. A nice melody and a sweet voice, with subtitled lyrics that seem unusually intelligent and on point for the Drama
Watching #cDrama #WeAllLie and for reasons known only to itself, Youku fully subbed the opening song in ep 2, then provides NO SUBS AT ALL for the next 2.5 minutes, before starting again with subs. Hooray for Google Translate, but it does mean a 30-minute episode is going to take MUCH longer
