The whale's nose is emergent from the water and a tower of mist shoots out into the air as it breathes.
The entire whale's back is out of the water here, from nose to dorsal fin/hump. The face, and tail are under water.
Prepare to dive: mid-dive, the back is arched, and the dorsal fin/hump are at their most emergent.
And finally, the flukes come out of the water - with streams of water coming off the trailing edge.
