Only just realised this but I think I might have actually survived #Whamageddon2024. Somehow I actually went the entire Xmas season without hearing Last Christmas and I didn't even try. Dogsitting alone for half a month probably helped.

Well, I was sent to #Whamhalla - nearly made it to midnight on December 24.
We played the first "A Very Special Christmas" album -- which does not contain "Last Christmas". However, it ended and the algorithm immediately decided my #Whamageddon2024 needed to end.
And then I heard it. The cheesy 80's synth-strings. Maybe it was a cover version. Covers are safe. Here come the vocals. Nope, that's George Michael on lead. Damn it. I was dead. Last Christmas had come for me, as it comes for us all in the end.
