Had to go lighter for dinner after that jumbo burrito earlier. Grabbed a fresh salad and some iced tea from Safeway. Still pretty full from lunch, so I couldn’t finish it, but it hit the spot and was a nice way to wrap up the day.

A dinner bowl filled with a tangle of golden veggie Hakka noodles and a couple of lollipop chicken, slathered in garnet coloured Sichuan sauce.

Timing was a bit wonky -- an hour before dinner and by the time we ended (chatting!) I was so hungry. Craved veggie hakka noodles and lollipop chicken. My usual spot was closed (Tuesdays!) so I drove out to Hem's. Num

After an interview, I happened to find myself near Eby Street Bodega. And I happened to get the Brassica Knuckles sandwich for lunch. Num.

Occelli di Castagno, a chestnut leaf-wrapped/aged cow and sheep's milk Italian cheese. Cream-coloured, with hints of brown sugar, nuts, with a tiny crunch of salty crystals.

Oh, my life.

Went to Guelph and for a great interview Andrew from Tomme (it turns out we worked together(ish) at a former employ!) and then had him choose my birthday cheese (it's in Sept, but I wanted cheese now). Occelli di Castagno
