My NOS Wheelset for my fixed wheel folding #bicycle went through its first tube on its first commute-ride! Upon examination while fitting a replacement tube, I found a manufacturing defect in the rim Where the two ends of the rim-hoop were joined, thee was a burr. I temporarily addressed that with a piece of inner-tube and double sided office tape to hold it in place until the inflated 100psi pressure could take over. An hour or less with a rat tail file and some abrasive cloth should remedy the problem.

MY NOS Wheelset has a manufacturing defect in the rims that abrades the inner tube.
I used a piece of old tube temporarily held over the burr from where the rim hoop is joined.
In a few days, I'll file and smooth out the problem, but for now....
