Day 1 and done of the Crossings and Corridors Forum at #UBCO. We visited a local turtle crossing (with roadkilled turtle), Canada's first wildlife overpass, and the newly formed Okanagan Corridor, with Syilx perspectives shared by former #WiRELab student Addison Fosberry. Days 2 and 3 coming up!

Photo update from my weekly check in with #WiRELab MSc student Landon Birch. Using his trusty T-47 snowspeeder to access high elevation vegetation plots, Landon is studying the nutritional ecology of tauntauns on the ice planet of Hoth.

New #WiRELab/ @biodivpathways.bsky.social paper just out, led by Dr. Michelle McLellan.

We learned that fewer wolves are removed during caribou recovery efforts if primary prey - ie moose - are also managed.
