#WindowsOnWedneday. Contrast of 3 Chapter House Street, a late medieval house with a stone ground floor and formerly jettied, timber framed upper storey. It was enlarged and encased in brick in the 17th century. Behind, the Lady Chapel 1361-73 & Choir 1394-1429 of York Minster.

It was founded by Isabella Stewart Gardner, whose will called for her amazing art collection be permanently exhibited "for the education/enjoyment of the public forever."

In the “Le Jardin des Arènes de Cimiez” garden, there’s the depicted beautiful red and ochre painted house, colors are fading , with a lot of windows, with sage colored wooden shades, framed in an ochre color, some shades are open and some are closed. The middle part has a ground, first and second floor, the left and right sides have only a ground and first floor. 4 steps are leading to the brown, wooden entrance door, flanked by two lattice windows without shades, that gave the same heights as the door. 3 smaller, square flower pots with “Musee Matisse” and an arrow pointing right on them holding small olive trees can be seen standing in front of the entrance. Le jardin des Arènes de Cimiez is a beautiful garden in Nice. Facing the Monastery, this garden is a vast olive grove, made up of thousands of more than a hundred-year-old olive trees, its free-access lawns make it a privileged place for family walks. Every year, traditional Nice events take place there. The Matisse Museum and the archaeological site and museum are grouped together in this large green space.
