the dress itself may look fairly simple, but it's not. the bodice of the dress is split into halves of different colors, which i think is a reference to the whole asymmetrical thing lanfear and other forsaken have going on.

FINALLY, the best lanfear look according to me, this iconic dress and the thing i'm not sure what to call. a coat? a cloak? eh, cloak it is. this one only marginally wins over no.2 because i love them pretty much equally, but no.2 doesn't have The Cloak Factor

a classic beloved by many! likely THE most iconic lanfear look because this is the first time we see her in her full forsaken glory. i love that this costume, while undeniably sexy, isn't sexualized (which, to be fair, is true for all of her costumes).
