The restrooms are on the ground floor of the opposite building and are accessible by ramp. In the main building (ca. 300m distance) is a wheelchair accessible restroom which can be opened by an Euroschlüssel. There is an approximately 3cm high threshold at the entrance of the Zwille. Every half an hour or so there is a loud noise coming from machines/pipes running trough the building.

This was also the case at the automotive supplier Pierburg in Neuss. Here, the majority of female and migrant workers were fed up with exploitation by their boss, poor working conditions and lower pay compared to their male colleagues, and organised a five-day strike that would go down in history as a success. Today, Pierburg GmbH is part of Rheinmetall AG, and a Pierburg factory in Wedding is currently being converted into a weapons production site. So, then as now, Pierburg not only wants to profit from the general exploitation of workers, but now also wants to profit from the militarisation of Germany! What can we learn from the strikes and self-organisation of migrant women at Pierburg in 1973? How can we successfully defend ourselves against double exploitation at work and in domestic labour? Come along and let's learn from history together, because their struggle is our struggle! ✊❤️🔥
