For my #WonderSoul oc's, their world is weird, it's mostly equivalent to say, late 1800's, early 1900's technology-wise, with some outliers here and there, but there are creatures from the distant past too!
For #TwentySomething it takes place in the late 2010s I'd say, much more straightforward lol
I'll post it on here too, I think it's fine but: In #WonderSoul nudity in most places is treated as relatively normal! Most people wear clothes anyways for comfort and/or fashions but if you go out nude or mostly nude it's not a big deal!
Ooh okay, so the main one is actually the main antagonist group for #WonderSoul!
So we have the Zodiacs, the antagonist group throughout the story, compromised of 13 Espers, codenamed after the Western Zodiac, and their leader. Delphinnea and co. will have to deal with em throughout the story!
So it's actually not really known where Magic/Soul Energy really comes from. All that's really known is that it didn't exist before whatever Mass Extinction Event hit the Ancients, and it suddenly appeared afterwards. So, it prolly had SOMETHING to do with it, just dunno what exactly!
#WonderSoul
Guns exist in #WonderSoul so wouldn't be a change lore/worldbuilding-wise, but also Delphinnea has *horrifically* bad aim so I feel like it really wouldn't work well with her XD
Here're some snippets from #WonderSoul 's rough outline. Last writing session I did the beginning of of the Supercontinental Express arc, these snippets go deeper into Skye's backstory as well as some world building surrounding the Amelian Empire
Just writing their stories really! #WonderSoul is in the process of outlining currently, and I'd like to start doing the same for #TwentySomething soon too!
So...for #WonderSoul it's actually not fully known yet! It's a fact that Magic comes from the Soul and uses Soul Energy to be cast, but the Ancients (humans from the distant past) couldn't use Magic, it was only after the unknown mass extinction event that happened that Magic became a thing!
A snippet of Wonder Soul's outline! It's the Fire Elemental Apprentice Luciana giving Delphinnea feedback on her performance in the 2nd part of the Witch exam, which she passed. It brings attention to Delphinnea's disability (Not being able to use Magic) and Luciana's disibilty (Missing her right arm)
Another snippet from #WonderSoul 's outline! A reminder that one of the main themes in Wonder Soul is how great we are despite any disabilities we may have! :3
(Deffo check the alt text for more context on Delphinnea and Luciana's disabilities!)
There are none in #WonderSoul 's world, but #TwentySomething takes place in modern day New Jersey so they exist there! Violet is basically glued to her PC and her phone lol
If the Wonder Soul cast encountered modern tech, they'd orolly be flabbergasted lol
#LateNightWrite
One of them in #WonderSoul would be an area called "Pandora's Locket," it's a large lake towards the south of the supercontinent that's almost completely covered in a toxic mist! There's an island in the center of it but it's largely unexplored due to the toxic mist
The oc meme I've doing on main be lowkey calling me out on my freak lol One of the questions is asking what type of underwear the oc wears and like...Violet doesn't wear underwear nor do ANY of my #WonderSoul ocs since I made it so underwear doesn't even exist in that universe sooo lol, oh well! X3
For #WonderSoul , I got feedback on my first outline in regards to the Blood Kingdom arc, which deals with fantasy racism pretty heavily, so the struggle is really just, making sure I do the subject right really!
Speaking of #WonderSoul 's outline, looking at it a week later, the stark difference of how rough it started out for the early arcs and how hyper detailed it got for the last arc of part 1 really shows how into it I got last week and now I gotta go back and bring the other arcs up to snuff XD
Text from my super rough outline for Wonder Soul! It's basically just describing Delphinnea's autism lol
More shenanigans from my super rough #WonderSoul outline! Me giving a glimpse at Delphinnea's plant autism lol

Due to my recent watching of Bee & Puppycat + Lazy in Space I have the inspiration to make a new oc for #WonderSoul inspired by Bee lol Hoping to be able to make her come to life when I get the money to commission someone to draw her
I'd say #WonderSoul 's world is Heroic but on the cusp of Noblebright. It's for the most part a generally pleasant world that's more good than evil, but certain places like the Amelian Empire, for example, a very quickly moving towards more outwardly evil and problematic practices
Hell, literally one of the things I'm going out of my way to do with #WonderSoul is the straight up absence of heteronormativity and the patriarchy, in the age the world takes place, those concepts just kinda don't exist and the world is overall better for it
In #WonderSoul LGBTQ+ stuff is very normalized really, no one really cares about or focuses on your sexuality, and for trans people, there're magic potions that are a more permanent way to transition than just using magic to change your appearance, like how Aleks does it
They were born in a village in the Nöor Region to the far north, one inhabited by other tieflings. In #WonderSoul, Tieflings are almost always Fire-type magic users, but when Aleks magic manifested, they discovered their magic type was Ice. The villagers took this as a bad omen and exiled them (3/6)
Yassss say hello to Aleksander/Aleksandra y'all! Aleks is a gender-fluid Tiefling who's magic type is Ice! They're the head of a resistance group fighting against a tyrannical dictator, whom Delphinnea and Skye will help them out with in #WonderSoul 's Blood Kingdom Arc! (1/6) #oc #ocsky
Delphinnea! She was born in #WonderSoul 's equivalent of Japan! If she was in our world she'd be a British/Japanese mix! Her country is heavily based on feudal Japan w/ city areas being slightly more modern. Her hometown in particular is in the countryside and more forest-y
The main one so far is my oc Aleks from my story #WonderSoul! They're a gender-fluid Tiefling that changes b/w masc and femme appearances using magic! The design I made for them in the picrew isn't final yet, but it gets the point across I think!
I have a trans-masc oc too but he's a spoiler lol
For the day or so before they attack the train, give some insight on the kind of prejudices that Tieflings and some other humanoids experience, and hint at the political climate of the destination city pertaining to them (Skye will prolly be the one explaining this to Delphinnea as an audience proxy since she’s kindof a sheltered idiot /affectionate)
Me just casually calling out Delphinnea for being a dumbass in my ultra rough outline for #WonderSoul lol
#LGBTQWriters #QueerWriters
For #WonderSoul I'd say it'd be Capt. Marco Maderazo, a Reken (Humanoid Shark person) who was the previous Water Elemental for the Witch's Coven before retiring shortly before the start of the story. He weilds a giant anchor and uses Water magic with extreme ferocity! (1/3)
So a quick-ish and dirty-ish explanation of #WonderSoul 's magic system:
Everyone is born being able to use magic, and there are 8 magic types in total:
Fire
Thunder
Poison
Earth
Ice
Water
Gravity
Wind
Each person is born with an affinty for one of those eight (1/3)
#FebruaryWorldbuilders Prompt list Day 10: Born, trained, both?
#FebruaryWorldbuilders
Magic in #WonderSoul is something everyone is born with, with having an innate affinty for 1 of the 8 elements. Although, you of course can still train to be better with your element AND you can still use the other elements with training, soooo it's both!

#FebruaryWorldbuilders
So uhh...for this one I think it'll be much easier to just link the Google Doc I have detailing #WonderSoul 's magic system lol, I'll do an abridged explanation in the replies tho!

#FebruaryWorldbuilders Prompt list Week 2: Magic Day 8: Hard or Soft?
#FebruaryWorldbuilders
#WonderSoul 's magic system is very much a hard magic system, it has pretty fundamental rules and a clear way of how it works!
Esper powers (Psychic powers basically) are much more like a soft system and is generally more loose however
#FebruaryWorldbuilders Day 6: MC's hometown
#FebruaryWorldbuilders
So Delphinnea's as-of-yet unnamed hometown is a village located in #WonderSoul 's equivalent of Japan. It's like your typical pre-war era Japanese village, with a small downtown area, where Delphinnea's grandmother, Iachoku, runs her crystal/potion shop!
