KUALA LUMPUR: The University of Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM)’s success in performing a liver transplant surgery on a four-month-old baby boy last November proves that Malaysia has world-class expertise. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the baby, who weighed only 6.2 kilograms (kg), suffered from liver failure and required an immediate liver transplant from his mother on Nov 25.
