Back with a new scarf! And in case you needed to know where I stand...that's included too.
This scarf is unthemed and was basically a practice run for getting back into weaving. There is a knot somewhere in there, but hey, practice scarf.

My Uncle shares a birthday with my son. I wove Uncle a scarf using sock weight yarns. The blue is to remind him of…well…we know what it is for, but he can say it is for Flathead Lake.

The first scarf that I wove from soft, snuggly, superwash Shetland wool.It proves that a plain weave doesn't have to look boring. 🧶

This is a scarf I wove a few months ago. The warp is Shetland wool with a little nylon for added strength and the weft pure Shetland. A good brushing after washing and drying has given it such a fluffy halo that it's like wrapping yourself in a cloud!

Woven a simple scarf over the last couple of days using handspun, hand dyed wool and alpaca.
Will be on sale at #YarniesAtTheFlaxmill in #Shrewsbury on Saturday on the Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers table.

This scarf is so incredibly soft and the color is lovely! Made in Baaam-boo from Skirted Fleece Mill.

I love this scarf! Because of the zebra effect in the yarns, it looks like there’s movement in the scarf. And the yarns are incredibly soft, almost silky! This could be a keeper!

The peachy Tweed scarf! Handwoven in Spun Right Round sock yarn (Cat’s pajamas) and Cape May yarns brushed alpaca (Jersey Peach). So incredible soft, lightweight, and warm!

Magic. The most satisfying part of weaving.

It's another cold , miserable day here, so I couldn't resist weaving a scarf with some of the dead stock yarn I picked up in February. I'm using a simple plain weave to let the variation of the main yarn shine through. I'm in my happy place.

Rigid heddle looms with the beginnings of a woven scarf.
Back on the loom (and no, I haven't found my heddle hook yet 😭).

Kiddo is home for reading week and needed a scarf for walking around campus. He asked me if I could make him one, but I still have a few left from my winter markets. Bonus, he found one he liked. Woohoo.

This one turned out just delightful <3
The hand dyed (not by me) yellow wool weft quite softened and lightened in the wash.
This scarf is so very soft.
2 more scarves to come off this warp...I'm thinking green will be the next colour to play with!
