In 1940 Regina Downtown #YQRdt had exclusively electric public transportation that would now be the envy of most modern cities. Now you can't even find public transportation outside of inefficient taxies or Ubers on 11th Ave. #YQRcc

I was under the understanding that #YQRdt paid the most per land use in property taxes, as it is in most cities, while suburbs like Ward 4 are a suck on services, and can't even have water pressure without expensive water pumping add-ons everyone else pays for.

I used #YQRtransit this week, and riding the bus in #yqrdt sucks now. The stops are 3+ blocks from Cornwall Centre.
"The City has Transit shelters installed around Victoria Park to keep transit riders out of the wind, rain & snow." - lie on Regina.ca #yqrcc, there's no shelter on south side of Vic.

#HeritageHole at Albert and Victoria Ave. is a signal to the world, yes, the world, this tells everyone downtown #yqrdt Regina is a vacant lot with a fence up around it. More swindle developments to follow.

The City already fooled me once, justifying a costly #StadiumII mega-project with a #YQRdt bike lane they just used for a bait & switch swindle. I'm not going to get fooled again by the hollow promise of a bike lane to nobody, to justify a new bypass highway in a region that should remain farmland.

Plus, there are ZERO businesses within 200m of the majority of these proposed street upgrades. Imagine how much good could be done in #YQRdt with $78,000,000!

I wonder if anything branded "Crosstown" is doomed by delay. Regina's "Crosstown Bike Lane, goes about 2km through some of the west to near the edge of #YQRdt, skips a beat, has another 300m through College Ave. then dead-ends, never to be continued through the other 10km to the east.

#yqrtraffic in #yqrdt is ridiculous for pedestrians at 11th and Broad St. There is no room given on the west side to cross anywhere other than at #SaskDr or 12th Ave.

Our bar-scene is many blocks north, inaccessible by foot because there is a scary tunnel on Broad St., and an equally grungy under-bridge on Albert St., and no long-promised bridge in the middle of #YQRdt to Dewdney Ave. businesses.

The City of Regina has promised bike lanes downtown since 2013, but after 5 Councils, and 12 years, 0m exist today after 50m were once added.
