A mess. Just a sad yarn mess. A pair of socks are waiting to be worked on a pair of circular needles. A grey 8 ply yarn is strewn across the ottoman, partly unraveled but still with an ugly knot coming from inside the ball.
Gah. Made this mess trying to find the inside thread of the ball. How could I go so far off track? I pulled the innards out of the ball and spent so long unraveling the massive knot. There are still entrails spilling out of the ball. Need a machine to spool yarn onto bobbins.

A pair of socks lying flat. The colour pattern repeats with dark speckled grey and shades of green. The socks are stocking stitch, except for the cuff which is 2x2 rib. German short row heal, gusset, toe up.
Two socks on two feet, one left and one right. Patterned green and grey, mid calf, ribbed cuff, not yet blocked. The colour pattern is reversed from one stock to the next.
Two incomplete green and grey patterned socks are cast onto two 100cm circular needles. Two at a time were knit from both ends of the ball of yarn in the photo. A plastic spool is used as a jig to keep the inside and outside yarn from tangling around the ball or twisting.
A ball of Lang Yarns' Super SOXX Color 6 Ply. The sock pattern is called Train Soxx, in the Inca Rail colour scheme. The colours include bright lime green changing shade to grey green, and sections of black, grey, and white dashes.
That was fun. I'm so tired of seeing this colour pattern. Mistakes were made. But I'm happy with the results!

A pink human hand with a hairy wrist is wearing a glove, shown from the back. The glove has half fingers so that the fingertips are exposed. The gloves is charcoal grey at the fingers, then fades to sea blue, then yellow, light yellow-green, and finally charcoal grey at the wrist. There is a cable stitched medallion shape on the back of the glove.
Two half-finger gloves sit flat on a table. The left glove colour varies from grey to blue, yellow, green, grey. The other glove is mostly dark grey with a lighter grey band and some blue on the thumb and a finger. Mistakes were made. The back of the glove show a cable stitch medallion shape. The cuffs are 1x1 ribbed.
These half finger gloves were a COVID project. Each finger was knitted on dpns. I wasn't paying attention when I bought the yarn. I just liked the colours. One long colour gradient, oops.
They've lasted well, and cleaned up nicely with some woolwash.
