Lots of yellow paint discussion right now. In the spirit of splashing gasoline on this fire, I'd just like to remind everyone that Zelda: BotW and TotK had no yellow paint, and 83% of your playtime in those games had you climbing walls and cliffs that lead nowhere and didn't matter.

Well, of course Snake in the Dark has yellow paint... sort of.
Improving the tutorial readability I wanted to stick to non-verbal communication. I thought ideogram tool tips would do the job best, and while the game is mostly monochrome I thought "hey, yellow would stand out nicely!"

The reason we see yellow/orange/red painted locks, boxes, climbable objects and paths is not because of bad development... it's kinda because players don't notice shit anymore and get lost even after being told or pointed out where to go... focus is lost
