At full throttle, ERS behaviour (deployment vs harvesting) dictates acceleration: the difference reaches 10 m/s², like going from constant speed to stomping the brakes of a road car!

Max deployment: +350 kW
Max harvest at full throttle: −250 kW
Difference: 600 kW (~800 hp)

🔋🪫Clipping Analysis (130R)

🟥Ferrari had the WORST top speed: just 320km/h. Ferrari-powered teams were slowest on average (worse than Aston-Honda even!)

🟩Honda had a massive 60km/h clipping: just 267 km/h while still full-throttle! (worst ICE?⛽️)

…more balanced ERS deployment between medium and high speeds. Due to the very long gear, they'll likely have to downshift at full throttle once the clipping starts!

The three Ferrari-Powered teams share the same ratio. Same for Red Bull/Racing Bulls, and Alpine/Williams

💡Some wild stats if you split the season into three 8-race chunks:

-Worst: 🟠PIA at season end (86 pts)
-Best: 🔵VER at season end (191 pts, 23.9 pts/race !)

🟠NOR was never the best - but his worst (130 pts) still easily beat VER’s worst (94) and PIA’s (86)!

Laps 11–18 changed everything: McLaren went from looking untouchable to not fast enough to win! ⏳

At the SC restart, ⚫️PIA gained 2.1s/lap on 🔵VER, and the race looked over. For short, though: VER was managing, and improved his pace by 1.4s/lap over the next 7 laps. PIA lost 0.7s

McLaren spotted the excessive plank wear far too late!

NOR lifted-and-coasted heavily in the last 4 laps, especially at Turn 10 (Fastest one → worst for wear), losing up to 52km/h! (~1s in one corner alone)
Still, by Lap 46, the damage was already done

PIA didn't lift at all

Throwback to last year, when the slipstream made Gasly's Alpine self-destruct!💥(Not his fault)

Strong tow from TSU, reaching 361km/h under DRS: the engine reached 12937rpm in 8th gear, then exploded! (Speed dropping, no power afterwards)

🟠McLaren, 🟣Alpine: the only two #F1 teams that got farther from pole as the season went on!

Everyone else closed the gap; ⚪️Haas clawed back over a third of its deficit.

In the 2nd half, 🟡Racing Bulls overtook 🔵Williams, while Alpine went from 7th to last!

What’s going on with Alpine? 🤔

In Mexico, every team went quicker in quali than last year - except for Alpine, which was 0.654s SLOWER!

GAS qualified 18th (8th last year)

They currently sit dead last in the WCC, their worst showing since 1978!

In the ground-effect era, 🟠 McLaren went from 130 pts after 18 rounds in 2022 (less than Alpine!) to 650 in 2025 - biggest jump came in 2024 📈

Ferrari opted for the less loaded wing after comparing it to a more loaded one in FP2, gaining 6km/h in top speed! 🚀

The difference in acceleration (graph below) was significant at any speed above 240km/h ✅

Braking/cornering/traction were slightly worse, as expected ❌

⬛️VER's more loaded upper plane vs 🟪HAM's 2020 car made his DRS much more effective:
-Similar straight-line performance without DRS

I've correlated each #F1 team's average quali gap with their WCC points - and some results were surprising! 👀

🔵RBR (VER) was the 2nd best car in quali on average. Yet, they are just 4th in the WCC due to the 'lack' of a second driver
