I wanted to play around different restrictions, sizes and colour choices, so I came up with this rendering style with my fakemon. I may should try it for canon pokémon (oops that's a stream incentive :3) but so far, I'm just having fun, figuring it out #pixelart #fakemon #YuraFakemon

Zomnore, the sleepwalker pokémon Oneiric type Evolves to Zaigaze at 37 It's a creature resembling a cartoon fairy anteater standing up, but walking like a zombie while sleeping, with its eyes closed and drooling. A big bubble pops from its nose. Its body seems to be phasing out in the middle and on the tail. There are no reports of ever seeing this Pokémon awake. It moves on erratic patterns, as if it was constantly dreaming. The bubble that protrudes from its snout is made of pure dream energy and seems to be able to direct the Pokémon on its own to shelter and water.

Zaigaze, the surreal pokémon Oneiric type Evolves from Zomnore at level 37 It's a distorted teal green antilope with two trunks from which they protrude bubbles, big ears resembling eyes, a big horn resembling a Penrose triangle and six legs. Some parts of its body, including the horns and end of its legs, seem to be glitching in and out of existence with red patterns to the left and blue to the right. It looks menacing but serene. It seems to phase in and out of existence, creating impossible shapes and movements. They are so surreal they inspired artists to render glitches. That's because its true form is in the dream it resides, and we can only perceive its distorted projection into our reality.

I did six (twelve, technically, with the colour variations) gen 2 sprites in a day, so I can't show them in one post... So what about I show you one per day?

Ballmet, the dent pokemon Polymer type Evolves to Armider at level 35 It's a small cream creature with a distressed face and pale pink covers on top, with three spiky ends on the rear part. The helmet part is too big for it and pushes it head a bit down, making it look distressed. It also features a prominent dent in the middle. It is a cowardly Pokémon that will avoid conflict due to its perceived weakness. Its head piece fits quite loosely and it's made of a polymeric material that bends while unsupported, so it's prone to getting dented easily. Its shell, on the other hand, is great against the elements.

Armider, the flail pokémon Polymer type Evolves from Ballmet at level 35 It is a spiky armadillo creature looking smugly over its shoulder while showing the back to the viewer. Its back and head are covered in a red plastic cover with teal accents, and the rest of the fur is a desaturated brown-grey. The tail is long and strong, ending in claws. It prouds itself in having a spiky flexible back, allowing it to curl and throw itself around in order to protect Ballmet. It uses its tail to grab onto branches and redirect its movements while curled up, allowing it to come from unexpected angles. It's compared to super heroes.

Achooni, a dust bunny (literally) fakemon. It's a brown fuzzy ball with pink eyes and whiskers with just two feet and two really big ears for its size. It looks quite happy and jumpy, while spreading dust particles around itself due to its movement.

Achuuni, a chuunibyou jackalope fakemon It's a brown anthropomorphic hare mon with antlers and purple accents, in a very strange position hiding half of its face with one arm while putting the other one forward and side-eyeing the viewer. It has very long and floppy ears and a couple of spots with dusty accesories.

This is part of what I've done today on stream. I could not say that generation 2 style is my forte, but I think I'm getting the hang of it quite quickly considering how recently I tried it for the first time! #Yurafakemon #fakemon #pixelart

Crystanura, the shaked pokémon Evolves from Tamuse by using an Ice Stone Sound/Ice It's a bottom heavy anthropomorphical cyan frog with purple accents and big middle fingers and stomach full of white pellets. Other white pellets decorate its joints. It looks extremely happy. Evolving with an Ice Stone makes this frog particularly see-through, exposing jingling particles below. Its jolly personality makes it prone to dance in its posse, making its whole body produce merry sounds to accompany its voice. Just walking is enough for it to make sounds.

And this is the last one! I know the types are similar to Eevee's, but hey, I never said I was being original and if the elemental stones are there I shall use them! Vibranura, the plucked pokémon Evolves from Tamuse by using a Thunder Stone Sound/Electric It's a yellow anthropomorphic frog with electric blue accents looking slightly concerned but smiling all the same. It has several rectangular skin flaps in that blue shade all around the body and specially under the chest. After evolving with a Thunder stone, its body develops rigid flaps on its skin that can be twanged quite loudly due to the electrical charge between them and the skin below being disrupted. It lacks confidence due to feeling too middle of the road, yet its posse sees its uniqueness.

The fourth evolution is reached by a Thunder Stone, so, can you guess which one is the last type with Tamuse's design already? From this one, it's probably the weirdest one of the bunch, but that doesn't mean its posse doesn't love having it around! #Yurafakemon #fakemon #pixelart

Ripplanura, the smacked pokémon Evolves from Tamuse by using a Water Stone Sound/Water It's a saturated blue fatter frog with bubbles covering several articulations and its eyes and nostrils. On the chest and stomach, three big grey areas support thin films of water that look rippling. It's looking upwards, performing. The effects of the Water Stone make this Pokémon to bloat and develop a thin water film around parts of its body. Hitting them produce a beautiful sound and visual effect. Its personality is calm and gentle, always taking care of others in its posse and leading the rhythm.

This is probably the first one to be locked in. I knew a big fatter frog with films of water being used to vibrate and produce sounds was something I wanted to make and here it is! Do you have any favourites so far? Did you guess the other two types remaining? #Yurafakemon #fakemon #pixelart

Flintanura, the clinked pokémon Evolves from Tamuse by using a Fire Stone Sound/Fire It's a red anthropomorphic frog with orange belly and dark, desaturated purple tinged gray accents all over its body and hands, suggesting they're made of flint. It looks happy and widely smiling. Its passion and energy gets amped up by the effects of the Fire Stone, rendering it a cheerful Pokémon that will always take care of its posse's energy. It claps almost constantly while singing with its stone-like fingers. This action may cause sparks that ignite things accidentally.

Second of the bunch, if you use a Fire Stone instead, Tamuse will become a hazard, but a fun one at least! I took the fire typing a little bit metaphorical but in a way that could also be literal, because not all Fire types need a fire mane! #Yurafakemon #fakemon #pixelart

Groovanura, the scratched pokémon Sound/Grass Evolves from Tamuse by using a Leaf Stone It's an anthropomorfic green spiked frog with big chest and defined abs that look like wood. These wood accents are present around its body too. It looks happy although its eyes are a bit almond-shaped so it can seem slightly menacing. Upon evolving with a Leaf Stone, this Pokémon develops thick, grooved skin that it will scratch to produce sounds alongside its singing. In its posse, it will attempt to attract attention using its bigger size by inflating the softer parts of its body while performing.

Tamuse, the tuned pokemon It's an otamatone tadpole pokemon with five buttons on its back, looking empty-headed and happy. It says it evolves using several evolution stones. Very loud and boisterous, it loves to socialize and sing in large groups, attempting to harmonize. When a group spends enough time together, each of the members develops a distinct tone that carries over to their evolutions, although they can't reach them on their own.

I have shown you this lil' guy but now let's make it more official? I am not saying which evolutions does this #fakemon have because... I have no space to put 5. Please understand. But I'll show them one at a time! #YuraFakemon #pixelart

An animation (I don't know if Bluesky will support that, but anyways) of a black otamatone inspired fakemon. It's a tadpole rigidly in the shape of a quaver with big round eyes and a huge mouth for its size with a light grey ball as the tongue. In the height of the quaver, five buttons like a guitar hero's controller appear in the colours green, red, blue, yellow and cyan, hinting at the different evolution types.

So, today I streamed more practice of pokémon gen 2's style, and yeah, I did such a nice thing not getting the #fakemon that changes colours... but I picked the one that's dark enough that black has to become one of its main colours. Hard mode? Me? Yes. #pixelart #YuraFakemon
