California bill #ab1248 on junk fees in rental housing put on inactive file. Why did this happen? Author and sponsors did not understand scope of issues (especially re utilities) and had to make significant amendments once they did their diligence. Do the diligence first.

#AB1248 - Landlords are inflating rent w/ hidden junk fees. AB 1248 ends the scam: no more surprise charges, no more bait-and-switch pricing. Renting a place to live should be transparent.
