Provider Tip: Scanxiety is common during cancer surveillance. Acknowledge it, normalize it, and offer simple coping tools: breathing exercises, distraction, and planning ahead for results.
Small conversations can greatly ease patient stress.

Benefits of Omega-3 for Prostate Cancer Patients The Impact of a Low Omega-6, High Omega-3 Diet on Prostate Cancer Progression Recent research from the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center has unveiled compelling data on how dietary modifications may significantly influence the course of prostate cancer in patients opting for active surveillance. Food for thought:
If man gets work-up w/o MRI, has cT1c LR PC in initial bx and subsequently MRI is done and is neg, is deferring confirmatory bx indefinitely (eg, until greater ⬆️PSA) an option?
I vote yes. #pcsm #activesurveillance #UroSome
