“Hey, you okay?” Armin asked, sitting next to Adira. The Coruscanti woman wouldn’t meet his eyes. “You’re leaving, aren’t you?” The Thyferran gave her a quizzical look. “I hadn’t planned on it? We’re still good on supplies for a few more weeks, and-” “Not what I mean,” Adira said, cutting him off sharply. “I meant you’re leaving me. To go be with her.” Armin frowned. “That’s not even close to true,” he said. “Adi, Serah died. Two years ago. We both mourned her. Whoever that woman is out there, she’s not her. She might look like Serah, have her memories, but she’s not Serah.” “She’s the next best thing,” Adira said. “That’s ridiculous,” Armin replied. “Look, even with the same memories, the same physical appearance, she’s a different person. You should be able to sense that as well as I do. Everything about her is artificial. But none of that matters, because you’re missing the most important point of all.”

“What’s that?” “I chose you, Adira. I will always choose you. Out of anyone in the entire galaxy, you’re the one I want to stay with,” Armin said, taking her hand in both of his. “Everything that we’ve built here on Enteloor has been for you. No one else. The only time I would choose someone else over you would be…” “Would be what?” she asked, eyeing him suspiciously. “Would be… our… kids…” he muttered, looking away. Adira felt her face grow hot and her heart began to race. Was he saying what she thought he was?

I designed this armor for Adira, using Destiny 2 as the model (as usual). The new Renegades season brought some fantastic armor sets with it, as well as ~lightsabers~, meaning Adira has her weapon now too.

Armin nodded, not wanting to speak again and ruin her moment of introspection. Instead, he got to his feet and walked back toward the emergency hatch. Dropping back down into the ship, he took the lift below decks to the galley. A few minutes later, he’d returned to the top of the hull where Adira was still huddled under a blanket, watching the sky. He sat down carefully on the hull next to her, then handed her the mug he’d carried up with him. “What’s this?” she asked. “Hot chocolate,” he answered. “Thought you’d want some. It’ll help you warm up.” “Thanks,” she said, staring into the mug. She held it for a moment, absorbing its warmth, and blew some of the steam off of it before tenderly taking a sip. It trailed heat down her throat and to her belly, before radiating out to the rest of her body. She sighed softly, watching the steam escape her lips as it dissipated in the cold night air.

While surveying the planet Enteloor, Armin finds Adira sitting outside, watching an aurora that has formed above them.

The contrast between the two of them was sharp - he wore a respectable cloak of navy blue, adorned with a sash of gold, while she was dressed in a rakish, somewhat revealing garb of red and black, an edge shared by her unmistakable hair. That they appeared together seemed more a shock for the assembled guests - not only was the lost Zaltin heir making a public appearance, he had a mysterious woman with him. Surely this would cause a scandal within the upper echelons of Thyferran society. "We seem to have drawn a crowd," Adira muttered, her confident smile hiding her anticipation of such a large gathering. "You did want to turn heads," Armin replied, downplaying his own nerves at having so many eyes on them. "This was inevitable. Besides, look at you. I'm doing my best not to stare at you too." "You can stare at me all you want," Adira replied, "just as soon as we're in private."
