I bought this little Aeonium from somebody who'd grown it from mixed seed so they didn't know what species it was. I think it may be Aeonium canariense var. virgineum. Anyway, I took this photo in December 2024 and it looks happy because it grows in the winter.

A mature Aeonium "Medusa" that turned completely red very early compared to previous years. it has a large rosette with dark red leaves. The center has tiny emerging leaves that are yellow and green. This plant was mostly yellow/green until about a month ago.

Aeonium "Zwartkop" (aka Black Prince) towering over a stand of large Agave americana (Century Plant). These are tree aeoniums and the tallest are over 5 ft. Each stem has a single rosette of dark brown leaves with a yellow and red center.

A large Aeonium urbicum (Saucer plant) planted a couple years ago. There are several large rosettes that are dwarfed by the main rosette which is as large as a five gallon bucket.

A potted Agave attenuata "Foxtail agave" and a large Aeonium urbicum "Saucer Plant. The Foxtail is planted in a 45° angle pot since they grow at this angle towards the sun. It has several wide leaves that come to a point. The Saucer plant has several large rosettes. The largest is 18" wide.
Growing succulents under trees can be tricky, but not for these two. A Foxtail Agave and Saucer Aeonium looking good in the rain this morning. 🌱

A crested aeonium hybrid called "Superbang." It has one main stem that is flat and wide. A smaller stem is to the left but is also flatter than a normally growing stem. The flowers are a mix of crested and normal.
