We propose that WHIX loads onto the T6SS spike in a unique way. WHIX is predicted to contain a really deep cavity, into which, we think, the C-terminal end of a spike component inserts. As a bonus, we characterized the T6SS in #Aeromonas jandaei and identified new effectors.
