2/2 There are well-defined strawberry nuances that seem to have some, gasp, hints of youth. Tasty and full, it's hard to resist, but shows seriously, like a Skouras I posted on recently. Tannins have moderated, but it has grip. Lots of life left! 14.5% alc, $50-ish

"9908" means: beginning with the 1999 vintage through the 2008 for this release. This is one of the older releases. I wasn't sure this would hold, but it has, even with all that older fruit. It's elegant with finesse, silky texture and strawberries.

Driopi-Tselepos 2012 Reserve Agiorgitiko from Nemea, Greece

This had classic red fruit flavor from Agiorgitiko and power early,but time pulled everything together perfectly, flavors more mature, touch earthier, wine well integrated. It's a beauty, still firm on the finish, a nice performance nearing age 15. 14%, $40-ish.
