08-04-2024 11:34:43 This is the Larimer County Sheriff's Office with an update to the evacuation orders for the Alexander Fire. All Clear areas: East of County Road 27 from Hwy 34 to Masonville. Pinewood, Flatirons, Carter Reservoir area, including Pole Hill. Glen Haven, and the Dunraven Glade Retreat area. Downgraded to Voluntary Evacuation: County Rd 43 from the Retreat to Drake. East from the Little Dam Store including Green Ridge Glade Reservoir, Eden Valley, Bobcat Natural Area, Sylvan Dale.

Good news on the #AlexanderMountainFire, it seems to be holding at 9600 acres and they're lifting many of the evacuations.

Infrared flight mapped the fire at 9,053 acres. There is still 5% containment. There is potential for incoming thunderstorms which could cause wind shifts. Firefighters will be focusing on maintaining lines, managing their safety and the safety of the community. 327 Personnel are working the fire.

Northern Colorado residents told to immediately evacuate as wildfire starts near Loveland A section of Highway 34 was shut down Monday as crews respond to the Alexander Mountain fire that started west of Loveland in Larimer County.

Fast-growing #AlexanderMountainFire already up to 800 acres as of 12:30 pm MDT. Highway 34 is one of the main routes between the Colorado urban corridor and Rocky Mt National Park. Temps are in the mid-90s at the noon hour :-(
