the difference between characters like makima+luka and characters like reze+ivan is self-awareness, righteousness, but most importantly, /pride/, to be honest.

ivan, one of the main characters apart of the cast for the indie webseries 'alien stage', by vivinos, qmeng and team lico. here, he stares somewhere beyond the frame with an unknowing, hurt frown. his hair is cropped short, with black bangs parting to the side of his face. his brows are thick and pinched, and a snaggletooth pokes out from the side of his upper lip. his eyes are drawn black, save for a unique splotch of red dotting the center of his pupils. he's dressed in a non-descript collared shirt.

late to the party but who gaf. i'm kind of insane about the r6 ivan confession comic.

part of me earnestly believes that ivan's regard for till's limerence with mizi isn't simple standard jealousy. it's fear of being left behind – worse even, being left /alone/ in his own misery.

still sleepbrained, but reading alien stage official comics. ivan is such a bitter, jealous young thing. he's such a lovely character to watch contort under its own muted, contained hate.

see, miziluka to me as a dynamic is compelling /because/ of mizi's hatred for luka. from my pov, that hate isn't impersonal, but a feeling born from mizi seeing her worst self in luka. he bears the shame that she hides, and it would cut deeper if her fears rang true. hence this.

oh i'm so glad that mizi's agreeable and cheerful composure is finally confirmed to be, in part, a mask that she dons for survival. getting unhealthy levels of fawn/people-please response from her behaviour, especially in the sequence with sua.

alien stage is revolutionary in the fact that it reverses the roles of the usual husband/dead wife dynamics and yanks the dead wife out of the coffin and emotionally sledgehammers them back into the horrifying no-good setting that they were originally supposed to die in.

something that has been on my mind since i've watched the 'cure' mv: ivan stealing mizi's position within till's mind.

i'm kind of liking the wider picture that i'm slowly seeing form between each set of characters. be it with mizi and sua, ivan and till, or luka and hyuna, a given character is crytallized as a vessel for another character's self-denied pursuit for freedom.
