...it was horseradish, you were right. Now I see why you're not allowed to grow it "uncontained"! So...any ideas what to do with a LOT of horseradish?! This photo is just the start, I think I got about 10kg out of the ground so far and there's absolutely more to come... #allotmenttales

Thank you so much, all - P has done some further looking up based on everyone's comments and thinks it probably is horseradish, in which case it'll have to come up because that's what's spread and is doing all the bloody roots everywhere, and it's not permitted unless contained! #allotmenttales
A plant with long green leaves coming out of the earth!
Another photo of the plant, nicely sunlit
Good morning 🌱#gardensky - anyone know what this is? Left over in the allotment and from being very rooty, it's suddenly done a lot of leaves... #allotmenttales
Am going to keep #allotmenttales in a bit more detail on my spinning / knitting insta here if anyone's interested - just put a video up of the plot as it was before we started :)

A freshly-added blackcurrant bush in the foreground, a half-planted, half-exhausted veg bed behind it.
Planted the blackcurrant bush in the allotment yesterday, hoping it will be as happy as when we planted it in the ground in the last garden where we had a tremendous crop. We have another one we're keeping in a pot in our little house garden, too. 🌱 (Potatoes in under the canes...) #allotmenttales
Scraggy large vegetable bed, "lined" with degrading plastic soil bags (which I will try and remove), and knackered bits of crate.
Apart from the previous post, have fully cleared out a bed now! This soil is gorgeous, clearly the result of a lot of work from the long-gone previous owner (cannot fully describe just HOW clay the ground is)... #allotmenttales (mute if you don't care about this topic, will try to tag in future!)
It felt like the first really nice day of the year - sunshine, not too cold, not too windy - and I had so much to do but these two just wouldn’t stop hustling. #AllotmentTales
