The Bunnies Naptime - a marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of three cute round rabbits asleep on each other on a pile of pillows in rainbow colours. The sky is dark blue, and filled with stars, and the ground is green like grass. The rabbits are very stylized; they sit on the border of real and toy. The leftmost bunny is reddish brown, lying on their back with their paws crossed over their belly. The middle bunny is a lighter reddish brown, draped over the hips of the left bunny with their front paws hanging down, and their rump and the tip of their tail visible. The right bunny is light brown, nose pointed to the right, their front paws under their head, their lower body hidden behind the other bunnies. The cushion colours from left to right: pink, orange, green, blue, yellow, purple, red. I needed the cute when I drew this. Don’t we all need the cute?

A inkjet, marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a baby hare sitting up on their haunches, facing right, grooming their whiskers. The hare is decorated with pink and white apple blossom and buds, and yellow and green leaves. The whiskers and centers of the apple blossoms have gold stamens. This was part of the “Hare of Appleblossom” drawing, which was both adult and baby. The picture was photocopied, then the adult hare was cropped and painted out by hand, and the baby scanned at 1200 dpi, then enlarged and printed onto art paper (Pacific Inkjet), and worked over in multiple layers with markers, ink, paint pen, and opaque ink until I was satisfied with the look. This one looks right. It took about 14 hours from start to finish.

With Bob’s help, I scanned & enlarged the 2x2.75” spud onto 8.5x11” art paper, and went to town on it with markers, opaque inks, and paint pens. I’m very happy with the result. ~14hrs.
