Two yellow flowers, one above the other on a slender stem. The flowers have 5 petals; two close together upright, two like wings off to the sides, and a larger lower petal. The centre of the flower has orange speckles. There is also a faded leftover of a flower at the lower left. The flowers arise on short stems from a saucer-like leaf.
I think this is the Mountain Monkey Flower, Erythranthe tilingii. Paradise Meadows, at 1100 m. on the side of Mount Washington. New blog post: wanderinweeta.blogspot.com/2024/07/caug...
