Tonight's dinner: Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp. Tasty, peanutty, easy. The hardest part is the frying, honestly. I have extra of the curry sauce and the peanut sauce. The peanut is going on noodles tomorrow, and we might eat the curry sauce as soup, with more rice.

Homemade guacamole with homemade chili oil (la yu). The chili oil was made with chipotle peppers, so this is more on the Mexican side of fusion cooking.

"okonomi" means "as you like", used a Japanese recipe, omitted the mtn yam, added pork belly & shrimp. homemade okonomi sauce, used kewpie mayo. topped with pickled ginger, bonito flakes, and scallion. So good!

Made (pseudo) hummus with Peruvian beans instead of chickpeas. Technically, this is not hummus because hummus = chickpeas in Arabic.

Indian Spiced Crispy Brussels Sprouts Recipe Crispy Roasted Brussels sprouts spiced with turmeric, red Kashmiri chili, carom seeds, coriander, & garlic for delicious Pakora-like flavors.

Roasted cabbage with Indian spices & gram flour, after a recipe for making Brussels sprouts the same way.

Came out great, and had it for breakfast.

More work than a bowl of cereal, but so much more satisfying.

Hairy dough, very very hairy.

Cooked kunafa, which is layers of hairy dough with gooey cheese inside. It rests on a bed of baking parchment.

Kunafa which has been inverted onto a plate after the sugar and honey syrup that had been poured over has had time to soak in.

It turns out that #kunafa is an astonishingly fabulous dish only matched by how astonishingly easy it is to make.

Outstanding.
