This release has a lot of processing and performance benefits; especially for file tag updates.
Updates to the API will not be backported to Ampache6 as the focus will move onto Ampache8.

#ampache is now using the new #discogs #php library which has been extracted from the code into it's own library.
The goal is to keep it simple for data retrieval and it will hopefully be usable for others in their own #dev work.

Screenshot of Ampache web interface. The design and UX is not very good, but it does its core job of uploading music and streaming!
Screenshot of Amperfy MacOS client (available via App Store, also iOS and iPad). It’s a very nice modern client written in Swift that makes use of modern OS features.
Here’s my write up of my home lab setup of Ampache on Cloudron plus a WebDAV interface.
The Amperfy client for MacOS and iOS is really nice! I can see this totally replacing iTunes / Apple’s Music app for me.
