Congrats to @caseylbowden.bsky.social winner of the #AMSA2025 MFR Best Student Presentation Award, sponsored by #MarineFreshwaterRes!
Casey's research focuses on how fishes may be influenced by water flow across small reef areas.
We're excited to see where she goes next!

Earlier this month, I had the privilege to present the initial results from my Honours research project at the #AMSA2025 conference.

It was a daunting but amazing experience to be on stage, especially at a conference with so many outstanding presenters.

We couldn't resist an opportunity to see the cuttlefish migration in South Australia this month and been having great chats at #AMSA2025 about it. We're also thinking of everyone working hard on managing the algal bloom outbreak and the impact it's having on South Australia.

Can you handle the tooth? Lochlan Paterson-Crisp has been looking at the teeth of carnivores like seals and otters to find out whether sinking your teeth in truly is the best way to survive. Lochlan shared this research with us at one of the @amsaconf.bsky.social #AMSA2025 poster sessions.

Echoview Software works with hundreds of research institutes across the world to help them with advanced hydroacoustic studies. They help you read and analyse echograms, track and count fish so you can examine their behaviour over time...cool stuff! @amsaconf.bsky.social #AMSA2025
