Something I started doing a few years ago was giving a short debrief to all my classes whenever I attended a conference. I think it elevates our work, promotes professional learning, and opens space discussion. Does anyone else do this or something similar? #amte2025
It was so fun to present at #AMTE2025 with former GVSU students on using #InnovatorsCompass to support their student teaching experience.
#AMTE2025 we presented on participation patterns to center marginalized learners! We explored visualizing student contributions promote equitable discussions. How can we create space for all voices in math ed? #EquityInMathEd #MathematicsTeacherEducation #AMTE #JusticeInMathEd #Inclusion #mathed
Time at #amte2025 gave me motivation to finish another post on my Personal Finance for Educators Blog. Hooray for small accomplishments! #personalfinance #educators

what a wild conference. ended with a presentation in the last slot of the day & thought no one would come, but we had a LOVELY session & great conversation around torres’ rights of the learner & how they can be expanded/applied to multiple groups/contexts.

That’s a wrap on #AMTE2025! We hope you had a fantastic, fruitful, and restorative conference in Reno.
See you next year for #AMTE2026 in Portland!!
Loved spending time with part of our STEM Rocks research team at #amte2025. Lots of great sessions and even better networking. Collectively we continue to focus on our students and communities and look forward to new partnerships.
Saying goodbye to #amte2025 but thinking of goals for the next year.
1. Share Get the Facts Out Info with students, colleagues, and others
2. Work with MTE colleagues in rethinking grades toward some kind of paper.
3. Connect with others in MTE community about personal finance for educators.
In the space of a few hours this morning I had four meaningful, heartfelt conversations surrounding math ed, identity, humanizing, etc. My cup overfloweth #amte2025

Conferences are about learning and getting feedback on ideas, yes. But conferences are about connections. #AMTE2025
Glad we got a few games in! @ladyhennhenn.bsky.social @jsagrillo.bsky.social #amte2025
Loved learning more about how to support math preservice teachers in teaching data science and statistics. I am a bit worried though that the field has added to an already full curriculum. How can we find ways to let leaves fall from our tree of K-12 math when they all seem so important? #amte2025

How can we make our conference spaces more inclusive? For example, I learned from @jennewton.bsky.social that saying "I'll just use my teacher voice" is ableist, so when there is a mic, I USE IT. #AMTE2025
I think my #amte2025 conference theme song is When Worlds Collide by Powerman 5000 When worlds collide youtu.be/lsV500W4BHU?...
So many great conversations today at #amte2025 Right before lunch I learned about the draft MET III report. I appreciate the thoughtfulness the presenters had in seeking feedback. I think centering humanizing and inclusive mathematics education is critically important for our field.
#AMTE2025 this is the last week the paperback version of #DesigningMathAdventures will be discounted in preparation for Math in Action.
