A side view of a metal electrical instrument, likely from the 1920s or 1930s. It consists of various elements on a metal platform. Especially prominent is an electrical motor that turns a large pulley using a leather belt. The pulley runs a rotary pump which is connected to the suction and ether delivery system.
A close view of some of some neat-looking elements at the top of the chamber-- valves, a glass chamber, various interconnections and whatnot.
This ether/ suction machine looks like a prop from a del Toro movie.
I have no idea (beyond the obvious) about how it operates. Any insights appreciated. Not much info out there.
