Photograph shows the rocky coastline of Amlwch with East Mouse Island offshore. This island is the site of the wreck of the SS Dakota, built in 1874, which struck the island and sank on 9 May 1877. The 4,332 ton ship broke into three pieces but all 218 souls on board were saved.

Porth Wen Brickworks built by Charles E Tidy in the middle 19th century is a disused Victorian brickworks that produced fire bricks, made from quartzite (silica) for lining steel-making furnaces. Long abandoned it sits on the beach at Porth Wen, Llanbadrig near Cemaes Bay, Anglesey and although it's on private land walkers and paddle boarders make the trip to marvel at the remains. It's also a fishing spot
