Fiber artists and fiber-curious are invited to join-knit, crochet, stitch, weave, hook, macrame.... Not a knitter/crocheter yet? Come anyway & make some fiber friends Hundreds of crafters, artists, and activists will be converging on the National Mall, and across the nation to knit, crochet, stitch and frog the fabric of democracy — unraveling the knots of patriarchy and authoritarianism so we can remake something better. What to bring: Your supplies, a chair, warm clothing, and your anger! We will be on the Court St side of the Capitol building. We will be accepting non-perishable food donations for the Marion Polk Food Share neighbor pantries.
Join us on International Women's Day in solidarity with the DC Angry Knit-in to unite women, crafters, and allies in a joyful, creative act of political repair and turn fiber arts into feminist resistance!
