Big dumb fun WITH heart about lesbian magical girls punching/shooting the shit out of god while singing pop songs.
But it's VERY male gaze, especially with quite young girls, to the point where I have learned to not even TRY looking at merch for it.

dull anime following the well-trod 'kicked out of a hero's party' trope. fights are either quick CG or 2d still frames.. if you're going to use a trope like this, use it to hit the ground running instead of walking through all the explanations, please.

It was a bit tropey, and I was having trouble enjoying the fluffy shoujo-ness with the background of piles of racism, and then it got way too horny for me at the end.
So I'm out, but I'm ace and not a furry. *shrugs*

Love a first episode that also works as a complete story, had a fun time. I don't understand how it can go from there, but it gave me enough faith in the first episode to be excited to see where it goes.
not impressed with certain camera angles they chose for SQ though...

Hilarious mess of a plot, in a good way. It's not getting much support from the animation, but I think the more it leans into what it's set up, the more fun it'll be. Hopeful.

I want to like this - I feel like it has a lot more emotional intelligence and point of view than we get in a lot of highschool romance anime.
But I'm still a CG hater and an anime about dance relying on CG animation for the dance is a huge turn off for me. It robs the dancing of its power

I liked the concept; but was being bothered by things like the hair colouring and the utter lack of animation. On a whim tried the manga and the first chapter of the manga BLEW this out of the water so if this anime sounds good to you, read it instead.

80s anime remake; definitely 80s sensibilities. If the thefts being very easy to pick apart is going to make you crazy, I'd stay clear. But it's campy so I'm willing to give it a go.

I can't believe it's not isekai with an incredibly bland main character who is going to be the most OP guy around even though he doesn't have a class; which makes that worldbuilding meaningless in addition to being trite.

Nothing like a romcom anime that never makes you laugh, and the main romantic tension scene of the episode makes you horribly uncomfortable. At least it's about adults though?

Another really good episode; this season starting off strong!
I liked the character designs and their personalities already feel fleshed. Worried the gag might wear thin especially since I already wasn't laughing. But this anime was very sweet.

Excellent first episode, engaging world building. A lot of groups with varying technology levels is very interesting to me, the animation and fights were excellent.

The 'Dog' (it is definitely a Tanuki although I'm only acknowledging that for the sake of alt text clarity and otherwise will maintain the joke of them being a dog forever fyi). It's eyes are unseeable due to the dark facial markings they have. They have a leaf on their head. They are holding up a little notepad that says "eh?" in Japanese.

Potion, Wagami wo Tasukeru
My pick for best poster this season. toldya they were all kinda meh. This one's bright, simple, gives a clear energy, and has lots of cute details.
Simple is effective tho, especially when so many anime insist on putting every character in a messy group shot.
