Though it was originally called "Revenge of Bigfoot", but they changed the title when it turned out that the Bigfoot movie genre (which was popular in the 70's) was starting to not being popular anymore. Or they could have called it "Night of the Monster" instead since Bigfoot is more of a monster than a demon! The movie was originally less gory, but the producer shot & added some gory kill scenes without the director knowing & this is one of the rare moments where the producer did something right! Not only are the gore kills hilarious & memorable, but without it the movie would have been boring! #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #31horrorfilms31days 🎃 #day17 - #freddyvsjason A Freddy vs. Jason idea was already suggested when they where gonna make Friday the 13th part 7, but at the time Jason was owned by Paramount Pictures & Freddy was owned by New Line Cinema. So instead we got "Jason vs. Carrie-knockoff" & when New Line bought the rights to Jason Voorhees (but couldn't buy "Friday the 13th" name for some reason), they planted the seed for a Freddy vs. Jason movie at the end of Friday the 13th part 9... And the screenplay for it was in development hell for 9-10 years & when they finally released it, the movie was overall average, it was okay. Some kills where pretty good & the best parts & the highlights of the movie is when Freddy fights Jason! The movie had different endings, one of them would have included Pinhead from Hellraiser stopping a fight between Freddy & Jason asking them "What seems to be the problem?" That ending I would have loved, but they didn't do it because Pinhead & Hellraiser was owned by a different company... A sequel was planned, but it got cancelled & instead got turned into a comicbook miniseries - Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash (as in Ash Williams from Evil Dead!)
