Bela was a goddess but not through birth. She was perceived in two lights one of healing and guidance and one through poison and polluted water. She many decades into her life would meet and fall in love with an at the time hurting and confused Ysolt. They would faithfully be in love for at least 20 years. But when Bela was pregnant, she promptly began grappling with a familiar issue for deities like her. Power from her followers began dissipating causing her death.

Being Göndul’s faithful husband, Rúni was renowned for being kind-hearted, determined, hardworking, and playful. He was a respected Norse warrior who earned a reputation for being brave, powerful, and dedicated to his duties. Him and Göndul would welcome and lose their only son when Rúni was 108 years old. He fought against and failed to protect his wife from the harm that would follow. As his wife began to drift and then disappear this plunged Rúni into a deep depression and later accidental death, from a training accident.

Åsne was Ysolt’s paternal grandmother known for her strength, patience, battle intelligence, and honesty. She was a formidable warrior respected for her battle strategies and bravery. Sadly having such statues caused her to be far from home and her family. Even with this being prevalent, Ysolt often cherices the memories of her grandmother singing to sleep or during stressful times. The last time Ysolt would hear this was by her grandmother’s bedside as the grandmother succumbed to a spinal injury.

He held his family as his number one priority and loved them deeply. But the path of his son Brandr often left him grief struck and questioning where he had gone wrong. When she was a child, Ysolt often found sanctuary in her grandfather. As her parents were neglectful and her other grandparents were commonly busy, leaving Hrafn to take care of her. He sparked and nurtured Ysolt's love of Norse mythology and blacksmithing.

Göndul, Ysolt’s aunt was a well-respected but rarely seen priestess known from childhood to be quiet, respectful, and calm. Which was a stark contrast to her brother Brandr’s much more blood thirsty and aggressive reputation, leading to mounds of jealousy and a wedge between the siblings. At the age of 20 she would meet her future husband Rúni, a young warrior with a kind-hearted and determined personality. 85 years later they would have their only child, whose life was brutally cut short due to his sickly nature. Shortly adding to the horror Göndul was forcibly sterilized an act that nearly killed her. These traumatic events would lead to her withdrawing from society and years later she would disappear completely.

Draugr was born to Ketilríðr Bakki and Gunni Bakki. She had an older brother who died when she was 10 due to his sickly natuer. She would later meet Ysolt’s father Brandr Borg when she was 34 and have Ysolt when she was 96 (considered average age for the species) during a blizzard. Later having her son Aulay Borg 5 years later. She would later die when Ysolt was around 14 or 15.
