Baldur's Gate 3 devs dreamt of a 'friendship system' for platonic romances On the plus side: confirmation the writers have read your fan-smut.

This one goes out to everyone who thought I was crazy for saying Baldur's Gate 3 would benefit from a friendship system 🫡✨ #gaming #asexual #asexuality #friendshippath #romancepath

So I’ve known I’m at least bi/pan romantically for a long time, but now I’m starting to go back to questioning if I’m on the ace spectrum. If anyone has advice/thoughts on sorting through the process, it’s appreciated!

(2/2) My recent realization that gray-ace is a better term for me than demisexual may have had a hand in this rant. But the same still applies either way because this happened way too many times while I still considered myself demisexual #lgbtq #queer #asexual #acepride #asexuality

Thank you all so for much for cumming to my show last night! Was a lovely albeit sticky time (due to cake frosting, get your mind out of the gutter) 🍰

I’ll be bringing this show back at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe! See you then 💜

When asked their age, nearly two out of five ace respondents (38.7%) indicated that they were between the ages of 25 and 34. A similar percentage (37.3%) indicated that they were between the ages of 18 and 24. One out of eight participants (13.5%) were between 35 and 44. One in twenty were over the age of 45 (5.1%) or between the ages of 15 and 17 (5.4%).

When broken down by subcategory, the ages of respondents were similar for each group. Notably, the age ranges of 15–17 and 18–24 saw higher percentages of questioning ace participants (10.0% and 42.9%, respectively) than other groups, followed by asexual participants (5.7% and 38.7%, respectively). The older age groups, primarily the 25–34 age range, saw a higher percentage of demisexual and graysexual participants (43.8% and 44.2%, respectively), as did the 35–44 age range (17.5% and 17.8%, respectively).

A graphic with two images side by side, and one overlaid on top. On the left, an embroidery piece shows a young blonde woman holding lillies and wearing a nun's habit (exept for the headpiece she holds still in her hands). A halo circles her head in the colors of the asexual pride flag. On the right, an elderly woman teaches several younger girls how to weave fishing nets, dressed in traditional clothing of the Valencian region, all representing various 'spinster'-type societal roles of unmarried women. In the middle of both images is a knight's helmet decorated with flowers and the colors of the asexual pride flag, made to look like a sticker placed on top of the other two images.

Even in queer spaces, asexuality is often pushed to the background—but not in our zine (or merch)! These illustrators have captured how ace people have always existed and thrived! 💜🤍🩶🖤

Among ace participants, over three quarters (77.4%) spoke English in their everyday lives. This is slightly lower than the 83.8% of aces who spoke primarily English in the 2022 Survey (ACST, 2024). User werewolfcave posts: Begging and pleading for people to realize that some people may not experience sexual attraction but sometimes they may be sexually aroused by certain concepts/actions. And sometimes this then means they want to participate in sex with someone so long as the concepts/actions are present.

They aren't attracted to the person they are having sex with, but they are aroused by whatever is occurring within the sexual scene.

Sex favorable aces don't just have sex because their partner wants to have sex!!! Some sex favorable aces do seek sexual stimulation with other people for their own pleasure!! Big surprise! Shocking development!!

And this is also stigmatized because it's believed you need to find someone attractive to have any drive to have sex with them! Like! No! Some of us are just more interested in their ability to perform what arouses us!

I'm posting about this because as I am presented with sources within one of my classes about asexuality I see a complete lack of talk about pleasure and what it means within asexuality. There is this constant reaffirming of sex is what the allosexual partner wants (and the asexual partner is just doing it to make their allosexual partner happy) and it's deeply frustrating that we are defining sex around sexual attraction and not looking at the fact that sex should be defined around a whole range of things!

This is followed by user justslowdown replying: This helps me connect the dots re: kink and asexuality, because they do seem linked for a lot of people. Lots of kinky ace people out there. And, a lot of kinky people who aren't ace participate in sexual situations with people they aren't attracted to, because the situation itself is the turn-on.
