I have a friend who has a YA manuscript ready to go on sub to agents. Most agents don’t ask for a synopsis but a few do, but they don’t define what length or scope for that synopsis. Agents, what say you? Are we talking 3-5 paragraphs or 3-5 pages, here?

I’ve gone down trad pub route for both poetry and novels as to me it offers best reach. But based on interviews we’ve shared through Write On! self-publishing works too. My sense though, is that it’s success is very much personal network and genre dependent -crime, romance, SFF etc.
